Continued overcapacity at the Camarillo Shelter has caused a respiratory illness outbreak, with 13 dogs currently being treated (down from 22). To help prevent further spread, we need empty kennels as buffers between sick and healthy dogs. To free up space, we’re offering fee-waived dog adoptions until this is under control. Thank you!

Meet Selkie
This lil mami will wriggle her way into your heart in minutes…truly. She is so loving & wants to give a million kisses…on your face of course.
Despite her age she really enjoys walks, slow ones where you stop & smell every rose. It helped me slow down & just enjoy the moment. She sleeps like a baby every night & upon morning she typically needs to be woken up with physical touch.
She gets excited & sometimes barks unable to contain the excitement, understandably so.
She also uses her big voice when seeing other dogs on walks & cats. Friendly with any human being.
She is potty trained 100%
Upon her being my foster buddy I discovered her hearing/eyesight seems to be a little bit declined, nothing extreme.
This dog is a couch potato dream…
My hopes for a home for her is someone that can give her company, she is so low maintenance & will sleep the day away but desires all the pets cuddles & slow walks. I would say a home that doesn’t have cats if the owner isn’t invested in a slow integration but it might be workable over time!
I hope someone’s heart melts for this sweet girl like mine did so she can live out her golden years in the comfort of a loving home.
