The following is not a comprehensive list of pet boarding facilities.  Please note that most boarding facilities require proof of rabies vaccination.  Contact your veterinarian for these documents.  Ventura County Animal Services does not offer boarding at either of our shelters in Camarillo or Simi Valley and is not responsible for the daily operation of boarding facilities within our county.  Please research various facilities to ensure the right fit your you and your pet.  To submit a pet boarding facility not listed here, please email info@vcas.us with subject “Website.”  Thank you.

CAMARILLO ANIMAL SHELTER

The Camarillo Animal Shelter, the main shelter, is located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties and houses the majority of animals coming into VCAS.  This location also houses our Administrative Offices and Veterinary Hospital.

Simi valley Animal Shelter

The Simi Valley Animal Shelter is a smaller facility offering many of the same services as the Camarillo Shelter, such as the intake of stray and surrendered animals, pet adoptions, pet licensing, and the reclaim of lost animals.
