Icarus LOVES squeaky toys and tummy rubs! He has been responding well to leash manners training with our staff and volunteers. We think he will likely will do best with no dogs or kids in his home, and generally minimal contact with other dogs.

The Camarillo Animal Shelter, the main shelter, is located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties and houses the majority of animals coming into VCAS.  This location also houses our Administrative Offices and Veterinary Hospital.

Simi valley Animal Shelter

The Simi Valley Animal Shelter is a smaller facility offering many of the same services as the Camarillo Shelter, such as the intake of stray and surrendered animals, pet adoptions, pet licensing, and the reclaim of lost animals.
