Shadow believes he is 3 even though he is 12.. but that just means he’s unprepared for the tiredness that randomly falls upon him. This guy may look like he’s tough but that all fades when he tries to climb on your lap and gets stuck because he is too big. He loves car rides and is just plain happy when he’s around his humans. Shadow’s past is a bit of a mystery / but we can see he is missing teeth – so it must have not been good. Meet Shadow and you’ll fall in love – all he wants is a comfy couch or bed.

The Camarillo Animal Shelter, the main shelter, is located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties and houses the majority of animals coming into VCAS.  This location also houses our Administrative Offices and Veterinary Hospital.

The Simi Valley Animal Shelter is a smaller facility offering many of the same services as the Camarillo Shelter, such as the intake of stray and surrendered animals, pet adoptions, pet licensing, and the reclaim of lost animals.
