Meet beautiful Yady, a 7 year old Pit Bull mix (may have some Lab in there).

Yady spent the week with a foster in her townhouse and here’s what she had to say:

If you want to go walking, she will gladly go with you; she will need more leash training because she will pull on leash when excited.

If you want to relax in the backyard, she will be there with you; maybe you can toss tennis balls for her to chase. Don’t sit too long in that patio chair though or she may jump in your lap!

If you want to stay home & watch a movie, she will nap on the sofa next to you, usually with her head against you (she likes cuddling & physical contact with her person).

She knows how to “sit”. And she will try to “stay” but loses patience & walks away.

She is housetrained but will need access to the outside or she may have an accident.

The best home for Yady is a family with children aged 10+. Because she is on the “shyer” side, a quieter, calm home that would allow her to settle in & take her time trusting them would be best.

Definitely no cats (at the shelter, she focuses on them & wants to chase them). No small dogs (she sometimes thinks they are cats). She may be ok with a mellow dog her size following slow introductions. She has been in play groups at the Shelter but doesn’t really interact with them & prefers the calmer dogs.

Yady has been waiting for a new family since September but gets overlooked because she is on the shy side, staying in her kennel while people pass by. If you take a chance on Yady, she will reward you with years of love.
