Please contact my foster parent by email for information about adopting me.

Cali is a sweet, gentle “senior pitizen” who’s looking for a home to spend her retirement. She came to us after her owner was evicted and left her behind. She was the owner’s whole world, but unfortunately things just didn’t work out. Her former owner said she loved to go for rides in the truck and sleeping in regular beds. Her foster family can confirm that she is relaxed in the car and loves soft beds. She would also be thrilled to share your bed if you let her.
Cali also loves toys, especially tennis balls, and will light up and have a burst of energy. She really loves “disassembling” her tennis balls and toys.
Cali gets very excited for walks. She’s a low energy girl, so she wants short, slower walks. Cali does a good job of listening to her body and knowing when she needs to rest, and will stop and take a break on walks if needed.
Cali is low energy so she doesn’t need a yard, but if you have one, her favorite pastime will be sunbathing. At her foster home she takes her sun duties very seriously and is always eager to go out to soak up some rays.
Cali is an fairly easy dog. She’s potty trained and is fine being left alone and hasn’t been destructive. She doesn’t need to be next to you at all times, but does enjoy being with people and wags her tail and hopes for belly rubs (and treats). Cali is a smart dog who already knew a few tricks. She learned “touch” quickly from her foster people (because you can always teach an old dog new tricks). She is very food motivated and will go wherever you want when there’s food involved, often at a surprisingly fast pace (Her foster parents call it “chicken speed”).
Cali is looking for a home without small kids to match her overall energy. Her foster parents think Cali is an amazing, affectionate, and silly dog who has a lot of love to give in exchange for treats, belly rubs, and comfy beds.
