Become a Guardian Angel
Be a Guardian Angel with your monthly gift!

When you become a VCAS Guardian Angel by signing up to make monthly donations, you’re providing gifts that can be used by animals in their hours of need.  Guardian Angels are special members because their gifts are continuous and steady.  Help animals all year round by scheduling your monthly gift today.

Will or Trust
Give a future gift by including a provision in your estate plan.

Sample bequest language for illustration purposes only, please consult with your attorney. If you would like to give your entire estate after all debts, expenses and specific bequests have been distributed:  “All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate for federal tax purposes, I give to Animal Services Foundation of Ventura County, 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA 93010 Tax ID: 77-0504872.”

Retirement Assets
A gift of your retirement assets, such as a gift from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan, is an excellent way to make a planned gift.

If you make a contribution to the Foundation through your IRA, you’ll be saving the lives of homeless pets and you’ll get great benefits, too!  A charitable IRA rollover is a wonderful option for people 70 and a half years of age and older. It allows you to make a gift to the animals — from $100 to $100,000 — and the distribution won’t count as taxable income. An IRA rollover is also a great option if you don’t normally itemize your charitable deductions.

Life Insurance
You can name Animal Services Foundation of Ventura County as a primary life insurance beneficiary or as a contingent beneficiary should your other beneficiaries not survive you.

After your lifetime, the benefits from your policy pass to us, free of federal estate tax. We can use these gifts to save the lives of homeless pets all across the county.

Charitable Gift Annuity
You can realize tax savings and reliable annual income while donating to our Foundation. Here’s how charitable gift annuities work:

  1. You make a donation to Animal Services Foundation of Ventura County (minimum of $10,000).
  2. You receive fixed annual payments for the rest of your life, at an attractive payment rate.
  3. You receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction, and if you donate appreciated securities to fund your gift annuity, you will enjoy capital gains tax savings as well.
  4. Your gift will benefit you now, and save the lives of homeless pets in the future.

Donate a Car/Vehicle

An outright gift of cash or appreciated property is another easy and wonderful way to contribute to the work of our Foundation. Your gift will be put to immediate use and you will be entitled to a charitable income tax deduction for the full value of your gift.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Remember a loved one, donate to honor someone for his or her birthday, or find a unique gift for that animal lover in your life. Rest assured your gift is going to work right away to help homeless pets needing a second chance at life.
