For most of the dogs who head to the Happy Tails Resort in Virgina one of their favorite activities is the swimming pool! Once they see the water, they go bonkers and can’t wait to hop in and swim around – but Beya, a Chesapeake Bay retriever, isn’t like most dogs.
Instead of swimming in the giant indoor pool at the doggy resort, Beya prefers to stand on her hind legs while in the water! According to Jana Underwood, owner of Happy Tails Resort, Beya goes to the doggie day care program a few times a week and somewhere along the way realized that she is tall enough for the pool where she can stand.
We’ve never seen anything like it, it’s just adorable! If she wants to be social in the pool, Beya prefers to hop over to say hello, she never swims! According to Underwood, Beya has even taught two other dogs at the resort to walk in the pool too!
